Biography
Marguerite Chauvin was born about 1770 in St. Charles of the Germans, German Coast, Louisiana, daughter of Hypolite Chauvin (~1750–<1800) and Charlotte Toups (~1752–1833).
Marguerite married George Antoine Beaumont Falgout (born about 1766 in St. Charles, Louisiana, Nouvelle-France; son of Dr. Louis Marcel Falgoust and Marie Jeanne Castan). Their children were:
- George Falgout (~1806– )
- Louis Beaumont Falgout (~1808–1860)
- Charlotte Falgout (1785–1858)
- George Falgoust (1788–Deceased)
- Mathilde Marie Falgout (1794–1836)
- Leonise Marie Falgout (1799–1891)
- Marie Azelie Antoinette Falgout (1800–1871)
- George Falgout (1806–1860)
- Louis Beaumont Falgout (1808–1860)
- Celina Falgout (1813–Deceased)[1]
- Eulalia Falgout (1815–18)
Marie died on 13 August 1854 and was buried in Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, United States.[2]
