Antoine Chatel was born on December 24, 1760 in Lachine, Canada, Nouvelle-France. His parents were Louis Chatel and Marie Anne Perreault-Duchesne. He married Marguerite Archange Pigeon on November 24, 1785 Together they had 9 children:

3. Marie Josephte Chatel

He died on December 07, 1820 in St-Anicet (Huntingdon), Bas-Canada
