Research Notes
The linked father, William Chastain, born about 1799 could not have had a son born in 1809. Also, his son, John D. Chastain, was recorded on the 1850 Census as age 16, and his birth was recorded in a Bible as John D. born April 24, 1834.
Breland-212 is removing him as the father.
