Marie Charlan was born on 23 April 1666 and baptized the 26th in Sainte-Famille, Île d'Orléans, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Her parents were Claude Charland dit Francoeur and Peltier. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Jacques Billaudeau and Marie Giraut wife of Abel Turcault. The officiating priest was Thomas Morel. [Act states: The page of the register is torn, the mother's name is illegible][1]
Marriage
Marie Anne Charlan, aged 20 on the record, daughter of Claude Charlan and Jeanne Peltier, married Jacques Jendron, aged 24 on the record, son of the late Nicolas Gendron dit Lafontaine and Marie Marthe Hubert, on 28 November 1686 in Sainte-Famille, Île d'Orléans. In the presence of known witnesses Jacques Bluteau, Ignace Pépin and Jacques Billodeau. The celebrant priest was F. Lamy.[2]
