Orpheus Hercules Chandler was born 19 Feb 1904 at Francis, Pontotoc, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory^[2] , the son of James Chandler and Nettie West. Orpheus passed away 11 Sep 1929 at Francis, Pontotoc, Oklahoma. He is buried at theFrancis Cedar Grove Cemetery, Francis, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma.^[3]

Orpheaus Hercules Chandler is the spelling used on Choctaw Enrollment Card and associated documents.
