Katherine was a Friend (Quaker) Hopewell Monthly Meeting, Opequon, Frederick County, Virginia
Katherine was born in 1681. She is the daughter of John Chambers of Chichester Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. According to the website "John Chambers of Chichester Twp, Chester Co., PA", John Chambers of Chichester "would seem to be the most likely candidate for being the father of the Lydia Chambers who married Arthur Barrett in 1705, the Katherine Chambers who married Alexander Ross in 1706, and the Rebeckah Chambers who married William Baels/Beals in 1712."
When Katherine was about 18 she married Alexander Ross in 1706[1] in Chichester, Chester, Pennsylvania. The couple had several children:[1][2][3]

Research
Although there is nothing which identifies the father of Lydia Chambers, because her marriage took place only a year before the marriage of Katherine Chambers and because both the Barrett and Ross families later settled in Frederick County, Virginia, the assumption has been made that they were sisters. Noncontemporary biographies of Alexander Ross have stated that Katherine was 'of Chichester', which would match up with John Chambers of Chichester". The Quaker records of the marriage of Rebeckah Chambers identified her father as "John Chambers of Chichester". Some epidemic at the time of her death in 1748 was doubtless raging in the community, as her sons David and John, her son-in-law John Littler, her husband Alexander, and several of the neighbors died within a few weeks.

Further research as previously indicated shows daughter Katherine never married. The names Hardwick and Adams should not be attached to Katherine Ross. This profile will be detached and corrected profile for daughter Katherine will be added to other nine children of Alexander and Katherine (Chambers) Ross.
Find a Grave memorial for Katherine Chambers will also be added. In addition, a record has been located for the marriage of her father, John Chambers to her step-mother, Deborah Dobson in 1699. This would add to Find a Grave biography listing Elizabeth Austwick as her mother.
Please add any further improvements you might uncover.
All records that I have seen spell her name with a K not C. Doesn't it also seem resonable that the Find A Grave memorial is correct? She is buried in the same location as her husband, Alexander.
It places her as having been born in Tollerton, Hambleton District, North Yorkshire, England 13 Sep 1681 to John Chambers (1662-1730) and Elizabeth Austwick (1659-1697) of North Yorkshire. Her stepmother's name is noted as Deborah Dobson.
No sources are given, but a narrative is provided that matches well on many of the significant events. The death location says 12 Dec 1749 and burial at Hopewell, Clear Brook, Frederick County, Virginia is noted.
