Kathleen (Chaffee) Brownston

Hello, Kathleen and anyone else that might have info on Daniel Bennett, Father of Polly Bennett, wife of Crean Bush Chaffee. My line goes from Crean Bush Chaffee to Ira Chaffee, to James Buchanan Chaffee, to Dempster Darius Chaffee, to my mother, Margaret Jeanne Chaffee Strothman. There is very little info on WHICH Daniel Bennett is the father of Polly Bennett. I have the story that he was a tailor and was held as a prisoner of war most of the American Revolution. Then what? Divorced? If so, from whom? Married Mary Jackson? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can I ask that you please add at least general place information to the profiles you create, whether state, province or country. I can't for the life of me figure out where to even being searching with most of these profiles, to determine whether they match existing profiles or not. Better sources would be a huge help, too.

In particular, these 3 profiles need to be fleshed out. I can't figure out if they're in Canada or the United States, and whether they are in fact married to the same man or not.

Kathleen, why did you detach John Foster as father of Irene Foster who married Sylvanus Tobey? She is identified as his daughter in a Tobey genealogy and she named one of her children John Foster Tobey. Do you have another, better source for her not being his daughter? Thanks.
