William Cesar is a part of US Black heritage.

William H. Cesar was born about 1837[1][2] in New York[1][2]. He was the child[1][2] of Harriet A. and Randall Cesar, and the brother of Civil War veteran Garnet G. Cezar of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, the first regiment in the United States made up entirely of enlisted men of color.
