Norman Cayley was born in Calcutta, India on 15 September 1874 and baptised there on 21 September 1874.[1]
The 1881 census lists Norman at Clifton, Gloucestershire, age 6, born Calcutta, India.[2]
He was educated at Marlborough College and Pembroke College, Cambridge.[3] He worked as a solicitor in Calcutta and London.
The 1911 census lists Norman at Ealing, Middlesex, age 36, born Calcutta, India, occupation solicitor.[4]
During World War One he served in the Royal Artillery. He spent his last years living in Leatherhead, Surrey, England.
The 1939 Register lists Norman at Leatherhead, single, solicitor, born 18 September 1874.[5]
Norman's death was registered in the mid-Eastern district of Surrey in the 4th quarter of 1952.[6] Probate was granted on his estate on 26 February 1953, with his death date given as 8 December 1952.[7]
