I am South Korean by birth and American through my estranged father, and immigrated to the US in the late 80s. I am currently piecing together my heritage. Most of my sources have come from friends and strangers who have been able to find amazing bits of information and documents, and also internet sources, such as user-submitted family trees on popular genealogy sites, like familysearch.org (the LDS site). Through phone calls and favors (including getting a funeral hall employee in a different state to pull an obituary archive from his local library and email to me), I finally know the other half of my ancestry. I didn't even know my own grandparents' names until recently. I am still in the process of uploading all of my information, and please don't hesitate to correct any misinformation on my profiles.
