Biography

Bernarda Cavallo is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Leoluca Cavallo and Bernarda Perricone.

Bernarda marries at least twice, first to Giovanni Quaglino on 2 April 1894.^[1][2]

Giovanni and Bernarda have at least four children: Leoluca (c. 1894), Leonarda (1897), and two daughters named Bernarda (c. 1900 and 1908).

Leoluca, who shares his name with both his grandfathers, is known from the record of his death at two years of age on 25 November 1896.^[3]

Leonarda is born 31 August 1897 and baptized the next day, named after her paternal grandmother. Her godparents are Nicolo' Pollara and Rosaria Leone, a married couple.^[4]

The first daughter named Bernarda, named after her maternal grandmother, is known from the record of her death at two years and eight months of age (b. Apr 1900) on 16 December 1902.^[5]

The second daughter named Bernarda is born 14 June 1908 and baptized the same day. Her godfather is Pasquale Vasi, son of Giuseppe Luca.^[6]

Bernarda remarries to Benigno Rizzotto, who is also a widower, on 24 February 1921.^[7]
