British Colonial Forces
This category collects units of the various Forces employed by Britain during its Colonial Expansion and consists of those Forces outside of the normal purview of the British Army.

This included military units comprised mostly of the native inhabitants of the various British Colonies but are paid for and under the control of British Mercantile Interests or the British Governor and under command of British Officers. Also those units consisting of those recruited from Britain and the Commonwealth to serve in a specific colony.
