Biography
Robert Wallace Caskie, son of Robert Caskie and Janet Harley was baptised on 2 July 1876 in the parish of Old Cathcart, Lanarkshire.[1][2]
Robert married Mary R Whyte in Newton Mearns, Renfrewshire in 1899.[3]
Robert died in Gourock, Renfrewshire in 1929, aged 51.[4]

Dear Sister
I must now write you these few lines as I promised to do so on Wednesday. I got your Birthday
Book on Thursday night below the bed and it is all safe now.
We are getting examined today Friday and I am almost sure I have madea good pass.
I willput down all the dates of our birthdays and I expect our Government examinationto take
place next week. After which I will enter into the sixth standard.

Robert died in the poorhouse in Gourock in 1929
