Eli Pace Cartledge, son of John Vickers Cartledge and Mariah Ann (Morgan) Cartledge, was born on 1 March 1828 in Edgefield County, South Carolina.[1]
He married Elizabeth Sarah Doyle, daughter of William T. Doyle and Elizabeth Ann (Holt) Doyle, on 30 December 1853 at Yalobusha County, Mississippi.[2][1]
He was a farmer when he and Sarah appeared on the census of 21 October 1870 at Township 17 Range 7, Choctaw County, Mississippi.[3]
He married Sue Emmaline Amelia Liston about 1888.[1]
He married Julia L. Tranum, daughter of Thomas H. “Thos.” Tranum and Martha M. (Sloan) Tranum, in 1896.[1]
Eli died on 15 March 1906 in Mississippi and was buried at Bethsaida Baptist Cemetery, Montgomery County, Mississippi. His memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[1]
