Matilda (Carter) Hiddilston was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Matilda Elizabeth Carter was born on December 17, 1861 in Sydney, Colony of New South Wales, daughter of Benjamin Carter and Elizabeth Sarah Mason.[1]
Matilda (17) married George Green (40) (born in 1838 in Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire, England) in 1879 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.[2] Their children were:
- Alice Elizabeth Green (1880–1972)
- George Ernest Green (1881–1946)
- Ivy Isabel Green (1888–1939)
Matilda (29) married John Hiddilston (33) (born on January 4, 1857 in Melbourne, Colony of Victoria; son of John Hiddilston and Mary Ann Clarke) in 1891 in Randwick, New South Wales.[3] Their children were:
- Arthur Alexander Hiddilston (1892–1892)
- Hugh Charles Hiddilston (1897–1984)
- Hilda Minnie Hiddilston (1899–2000)
- John Hiddilston (1900–1912)
- Alan Alexander Hiddilston (1904–1971)
Matilda died on June 9, 1946 in Belmore, New South Wales, Australia, aged 84.[4]
