Rosanna Carter was born in 2 Apr 1887 in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia, United States of America, where she grew up. She was the daughter of Angus Rollins Carter, a hotel cook, and Regelia M. Sammons.[1][2][3]

In 1920[5] and 1930[6], the couple and their children were living in the home of her father-in-law, Henry Alexander, in Gallipolis, Gallia, Ohio.

By 1940, the couple had their own home and were still living in Gallipolis, Gallia, Ohio.[7]

Rosanna passed away on 17 May 1970 in Gallipolis.[8] Burial was in the Pine Street Colored Cemetery in Gallipolis.[9]
