Biography

George John Carrier was born about 1901. He was the son of Isadora York and John Ransom Crandall.

He married his wife Beatrice Rita Schilb on June 3, 1924 in Broome County, New York, USA.^[1]

George J Carrier was enumerated as head of the household at 808 Seneca, Queens (Districts 0501-0750), Queens County, New York for the April 16, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1901 in New York and married. He was a renter and a cabinet maker at a factory as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Beatrice R Carrier, son George V Carrier and son Hartley E Carrier.^[2]

George Carrier passed away in 1952.

Research Notes

His records list Jacob William Carrier as his father, but his mother was living with a John Crandall when George was conceived; additionally, Jacob was in jail when George was conceived.

Formerly, it was believed John Independence Crandall was his father. DNA evidence points to a different Crandall.
