Biography

Allie (Carr) Johnson is a part of US Black heritage.

Allie L. Carr was born on October 6, 1891, in Blytheville, a city in Mississippi County, Arkansas, United States. She was the daughter of Alfred Carr and Nancy Wilson Carr. In 1900, at the age of nine, Allie resided in Chickasawba Township, which is also located in Mississippi County, Arkansas.

By 1910, Allie had moved back to Blytheville, where she continued to live. Around this time, she married Robert Alexander Sayler, and they became parents to at least two children before Robert's untimely death in 1924. Following Robert's passing, Allie remarried Oscar Charlie Johnson sometime before 1930.

In the 1930s, Allie lived in Blytheville and worked as a seamstress from home. She continued to reside in Blytheville throughout the 1940s, as indicated by the 1940 census records.

Tragically, Allie L. Carr passed away on April 12, 1947, at her residence in Blytheville due to cirrhosis of the liver.
