Biography
The Rev Mark Rodolph Carpenter-Garnier was born in Wickham on 1 Jan 1881 He was the son of John Carpenter-Garnier and Mary Trefusis.
He married Eveline Egerton-Warburton the daughter of Piers Egerton-Warburton and the Hon Antoinette Elizabeth Saumarez on 24 July 1969 at Winchester, Hampshire He held the office of Canon of Salisbury between 1938 and 1944
He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity He held the office of Bishop of Colombo

The RT Rev Mark Rodolph Carpenter-Garnier-Garnier was an Anglican bishop in the first half of the 20th century Born in Wickham, Hampshire on New Year's Day. He was the l third son of John Carpenter-n Garnier and the Hon Mary Louisa Trefusis the daughter of Charles Trefusis 19th Baron Clinton He married Eveline Egerton- Warburton (1940)
He was educated at Winchester and Oriel College, Oxford and ordained In 1905. His career began with curacies at St Thomas Portman Square and All Saints, Margaret Street, Following this he was Librarian of Pusey House, Oxford from 1924 to 1938 he was Bishop of Colombo. He then returned to England to be Principal of St Boniface Missionary College,Warminster and then Chaplain of Salisbury Diocesan Training College
