Biography

Joseph was a Friend (Quaker)

Joseph was born on 10 Mar 1788 (calculation based on exact age at death).[1] He was the son of Joseph Carpenter and Mary (Clapp) Carpenter.[2][3]

He married Elizabeth Tabor, daughter of Jeremiah and Delihah of Pauling, on 21d 9m 1814 [21 Sep 1814].[2] He had produced a certificate from the Purchase monthly meeting six days earlier.[4]

He died on 11d 11m 1860 [11 Nov 1860], aged 72 years, 8 months, 1 day.[3][1] He was buried in Purchase Friends Meeting Cemetery.[1]
