In Memoriam: Dale Carmody was an active and generous member of WikiTree. Their presence in our community will be missed. However, their many contributions will live on as part of our shared family tree. This is a gift they gave to family members, distant cousins, and future generations, and is now a permanent part of their legacy.
Biography
Born 01/26/1958 Baton Rouge LA. Lived in Plaquemine LA, Lake Jackson TX, Austin TX
In the mid 1990's I contacted the Centre Généalogique de l'Ouest, asking for information on the Berteau family in Nantes, prior to their removal to Canada and Louisiana. I received a letter from Maurice Raimbault of Nantes, who kindly shared his family tree showing that we were 12th cousins.
Current project is an index to link to all heads of families (which I can identify) in East Ascension parish.

I am Gregory Noble Sr., the grandson of Rosie McAlister Noble Corton and my great grandmother was Rosa Bell Lee McAlister. My great grandfather was James McAlister.
I'm very interested in the LeBeau line you are working on. In particular I am wondering if there are any living males who would be willing to do a Y-DNA test to see if they match me.
My Lebeau forebear arrived in the Montreal region about 1671. Familysearch trees show Edouard Denys LeBeau as descending from Pierre Lebeau, Sr b. 1721. It occurs to me that said Pierre could be part of the same Lebeau line and had either travelled back to France or was descended from the same line as my ancestors.
