Biography

Arthur Henry Capper, born 1869 at Paddington or Kensington, Middlesex, London, England, was the son of Thomas Capper and Henrietta Smithett. ^[1]

In 1908, he married Charlotte Carnochan at Marylebone in London. ^[2]

Arthur Henry Capper's death (age 41) was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1911 in the Eastbourne district.^[3]

Arthur Henry Capper of 28 Arlington-road Eastbourne died on 16 January 1911 Probate London 15 February (1911) to Archibald Earle Collins solicitor and Charlotte Capper widow. Effects £3642 8s. 6d..^[4]

Census Findings

• 1871 - On the earliest census subsequent to his birth, he was shown with a birthplace of Paddington, at age 2 with a brother Charles, who was born 4 years earlier.^[5]
• 1891 - For the 1891 census, a Reigate address was shown, and an occupation of Student Chemistry.^[6]
• 1901 - England and Wales Census records were located for 31 Mar 1901, indicating that he was living with parents at age 32 in Betchworth, St Mark's Parish, Surrey, England. In addition to parents, four servants were in the household.^[7]

Arthur died in 1910 at Eastbourne in Sussex.^[8]

Ancestors: Arthur is a branch of the 4th generation (maternal, Smithett) descendants of James Hamilton (ca. 1740-1773), and 5th generation progenitor through his son Arthur Harold Douglas Capper^[9], (per The Hamiltons, where the pedigree is identified).
