Hi Morgan, I am endeavoring to write up a family history of the Kriewaldts, mainly those who came to Australia, but also something of the early American Kriewaldts. We have corresponded earlier but there are some details I would like to check with you. Is that possible?
We're 24th cousins, once removed, as we share a common ancestor King Philip Hohenstaufen (Philip II) King of Germany (1177 - 1208). Wiki ID: Hohenstaufen-1
Because the monarchy married internationally, you'll find many other monarchs, who are also your ancestors from England, France, Germany and even Pierre I (Capet) Courtenay (abt. 1126 - 1183) who ruled as Emperor of Constantinople.
You can verify each one by using the Generation finder in the your drop down menu on your profile. You can even print out each ancestor trail you find. Try it to see how it works for you.
I hope this may give you many other leads on ancestors that you may not have known about before, and hopefully add to your family tree. Have fun on wikitree!!
Very nice to "meet" you, Morgan. I'm looking forward to reading your Mosher and other ancestors' profiles. You inspired me to add to John C. Mosher's profile and those of his siblings. Thanks for getting in touch! Happy trails!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

PS. How did you get into genealogy? :) I became interested in Middle School but didn't follow up on it until after I got married. :)

No, they aren't a match unfortunately; my Margaret married a Colbert, she wasn't born one.
