Biography
Amand Caissie was born on 28 Jul 1834 and baptized on 14 Aug 1834 in Grande-Digue, New Brunswick, the son of Thomas Caissie and Marguerite Doiron.[1][2] His godparents were Didace Caissie and Dorothée Caissie.
Amand married Domitille Goguen, daughter of Joseph Goguen and Barbe Desroches, on 23 Nov 1868 in Cocagne.[3][4] A dispensation was granted for 2 to 3 degrees of consanguinity (they were 1st cousins once removed, view relationship).
Amand married for a second time to Omadie Goguen, daughter of Magloire Goguen and Eulalie Bourque, on 4 Oct 1880 in Cocagne.[5] A dispensation was granted for 2 to 3 degrees of affinity (Omadie was the 1st cousin once removed of Amand's first wife Domitille Goguen, view relationship).
Amand married for a third time to Marie Blanche Cormier, daughter of Joseph Cormier and Cécile Boudreau, on 21 Nov 1881 in Cocagne.[6][7]
Amand died on 6 May 1904 in Saint-Antoine, aged 69.
