Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. You will want to read this After Adopting Orphans as it explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. You may also want to go through the new member help on How to manage your Watchlist.

Hi Jennifer

I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Mary~ Project Coordinator, Membership, 1776 Project

Greetings from the https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776

We're doing our semi-annual check-in with members to see if you have been active in the last six months? Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to these check-ins.

Please post your reply as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of the record keeping.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

This was as far back as I could trace H. Emilie Cady's line. I'm not seeing a connection yet, I got Elizabeth Cady Stanton onto my tree through Ezra Cady's wife's first husband's mother, who was also a Cady, then a blood relationship to Elizabeth Cady Stanton through Ruth Pratt.

Hi Jennifer

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Karen ~ Volunteer Coordinator

Hi Jennifer

The Arborists Project is currently making some changes, starting with a change of the Arborists Project Google Group. The link to request to join the new group is on the Arborists Project page. Alternatively, if you send me your preferred email address for google groups, I can send you an invitation to join. Thanks for being part of the Arborists. Sarah and I look forward to you being involved as the Project moves forward. Gillian, co-Leader, Arborists Project

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. It looks like you are already doing the things recommended by the After Adopting Orphans FAQ. We really appreciate you becoming the caretaker of profiles!

Jennifer:

Pls contact me via e-mail. I'm the Grandson of Ella Cady, etc, etc, which You manage. You've got her grandfather, Hiram, listed as the wrong person !! Hiram (1807) is OK but, it's Hiram (1807-1852) not the one You have !!

The correct Hiram is the Son of Warren whose father is Jeremiah, etc. You manage all of these !! Ella, Myron, Hiram, Warren are all buried in My hometown, Ypsilanti, MI, Sincerely, Carl Miller, E-mail: [email address removed]

Hi, Jennifer!!

Thank you so much for doing clean-up work on the merges you're putting through! :-)

With those old GEDCOM-created profiles, it's hard to figure out what to keep and what to delete sometimes. I thought you might find this page to be a handy reference:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:GEDCOM-Created_Biographies

And then if you want to get fancy, you can use some of the cool coding from this page:

Keep up the good work, and don't be shy about joining in the conversation in G2G!

HI, I see you are working on merges, you may want to review Merging FAQs to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. Thanks so much for helping improve Wikitree! If you have any questions, just let me know.
