Biography

Isidore-Pierre (Isidore) Cadot was born in the L'Assomption parish of Quebec on 5 August 1749 and baptized the same day, the son of Charles Cadot (1695-1763) and Denise Thouin (1706-1777).^[1] He married Marie Véronique Dumont (1755-1807), the daughter of Jean Baptiste Dumont (1705-1778) and Marie Genevieve Montabert (1715-1784), in the same parish on 30 January 1775.^[2]He died and was buried on 27 July 1832 at Saint-Esprit parish. His burial record indicates that he was married to a Marie Anne Gauthier after his first wife died in 1807.^[3]
