Biography

Fannie was born in 1873. Her family moved to Bloomington, Nebraska.

In Fall 1891, Fannie was enrolled at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. In 1892, she was a member of the Go Out Independents Club.

In Fall 1892, Fannie was teaching school in Lancaster County.

In Fall 1893, Fannie was teaching at the school in Bloomington.

From Fall 1897 to Spring 1901, Fannie was principal at Blue Springs. In Fall 1899, Fannie was supposed to become an instructor at the Curtis Normal School, but the position fell through.

In 1901, Fannie moved to Lincoln.

In 1901, Fannie married Frank Tecker in Upland.

In 1902, they moved to Parks, which is in southwestern Nebraska. In 1902, Fannie's mother came to live with them. In 1907, Frank's mother passed away.

In 1917, Frank and Fannie opened the Forest Inn Lodge in Estes Park, Colorado.

She passed away in 1931. He passed away in 1963.

Miss Fannie Byerly left last Friday for Curtis to take up the work of assiststant-instructor in a county normal being held there. While Miss Byerly has demonstrated that she can successfully superintend a public school and bring it to a point where it receives very favorable and flattering notices from the leading instructors of the state, she also takes high rank as a normal instructor.

Happily Married.

Miss Fannie M. Byerly and Mr. Frank Tecker, of Lincoln were united in marriage at Upland, Nebraska, at high noon. Tuesday, December 10th inst., and will make their future home in Lincoln.

Mrs. Tecker is so well known to SENTINEL readers that she needs no Introduction, having been principal of the schools of this city over three years and who has a host of friends who wish herself and husband a very happily wedded life. Mr. Tecker is a travelling salesman for the Lincoln Spice Mills, and is very highly spoken of.
