Birth
Sarah was born about 1793 (as calculated from her burial record).
Marriage
John Collins and Sarah Butterworth were married on 7th January 1811 at St John, Deansgate, Manchester, Lancashire. They were both resident in Manchester at the time and John gave his occupation as cotton spinner. John signed his own name on the register whilst Sarah made her mark on the register with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were Henry Stanley and Edward Stanley.[1]
