Biography

Francis Butler baptized 30 Jan 1847, the oldest child of Michael Butler and Catherine Whelan. His birth date on his US passport application listed as 25 Feb 1852.[1]

At the age of 13, Frank moved with his family to the United States. [2]

Michael Butler 40 yrs, shoemaker, wife Catherine 40 yrs, Francis 18 yrs, Mary 14 yrs, Michael 13 yrs, William 1 yr resided in 1865 in Brooklyn, Kings, New York. [3]

Frank married 1st about 1870 to Henrietta Saunders. They were divorced a few years later.
