John Butler passed away on the 7th of May 1927, at St Paul's Station run, near Charters Towers, where he was working at the time, and buried in the Ravenswood Cemetery.[3]
Research Notes
John was listed on his birth as simply John, then later as John Francis on his mother's death record in 1866.
During research, family members remarked on the dark skin and wide nose passed to some descendants. Charles's birth certificate states that Francis was born in New Brunswick, North America.
A partial email text from another descendant follows...I noticed on the birth certificate of John William Butler, Francis Butlers birthplace is New York, North America. It maybe the source of my West African dna.
