Biography

Bereneice was born in 1896, the daughter of Charles Stewart Bush and Anna Elizabeth McClellan.

She married Fred Ward in 1918. He died in 1948. They had one son.

She remarried to Jack Lyday sometime prior to 1950. I have been unable to find that marriage documentation yet.

She died in 1977, and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery alongside her husband (and his first wife is buried there as well).

Research Notes

  • Ancestry.com lists her first name as "Christine" in tree entries, but this is not supported by any documentation I have found. Her marriage license, census records, and gravestone all say "Bereneice" (spelling varies, of course).
