He was white, married to Catherine Smith Burns, resided at 242 E 2nd street in New Castle, worked as a police office for the City of New Castle. He was born 3 Aug 1884 in Chester, Pennsylvania and the son of William Burns (Pennsylvania) and Isabella Trimble (Pennsylvania). The informant of his death was Mrs Warren B Burns of New Castle and provided on Aug 17th. He was buried Aug 18th at Glebe Cemetery in New Castle. [19]

On 5 Aug 1947, her son Frank W Fritz married Marie A Bergdoll in Delaware County. Marie was a daughter of Harry and Anna Lambert Bergdoll. [20]

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral Tuesday 2 p.m. from the George H. Brower Funeral Home (Successor to Ray F. Imschweiler), 1600 Edgmont Ave, Chester, Pa. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening.

Mrs. Alice B. Fritz, 78, of 829 Aston Mill Road, Aston, widow of Walter L. Fritz, died Friday in Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland.

A lifelong Delaware County residents, Mrs. Fritz, the former Alice Burns, daughter of the late William and Isabella Nicholas Burns, was born in Chester and lived 52 years at her late residence.

She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Aston and its Berean Bible Class.

Her husband died in 1957.

She is survived by three sons, Walter L. Fritz Jr. of Dover, Del.; Frank W. of West Chester and C. Lashelle of Upper Chichester; two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle F. Smith and Mrs. Lorraine F. Mathewson, both of Aston; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 pm.m Tuesday at the George H. Brower Funeral Home, 1600 Edgmont Ave., Chester. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston.

Calling hours will be this evening at the funeral home.

A notice was published in the local newspaper announcing her estate, guarantor Isabelle F Smith, and attorney, Harry F Dunn of Media, Delaware County. [28]

He is survived by Daughters Clare Pienkowski of Wilmington, Del. and Ann Curtis of Oxford, Pa., Sons Laurence L. Fritz of Perryville, Md. and Eric Fritz of Chadds Ford, Pa., Brother Frank Fritz of Kirkwood, Pa. and Sister Lorraine Matthewson of New Holland, Pa. He is also survived by four grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the D'Anjolell-Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston, Pa. 19014.
