Welcome to Wiktree and hope you're going to enjoy it just as much as we all do !
Wikitree is about just one profile for each person that ever lived, so a bit different than other genealogy sites, almost all early (Pre-1700) NNS profiles and families are already present here and a lot of names and lineages were corrected (some just used their patronymics) and that's also why it's of course possible you can't find them immediately now, and that's also why we ask to contact projects before creating , importing Pre-1700 profiles. So if you would like to connect your family to these ancestors best and most easy way is to just get in touch with the project leaders or coordinators of the proper projects they know where to find them and can help to connect your tree. Here's the New Netherland Settlers Project and a list of all projects
Now you have created some Pre-1700 duplicates already, so I will help and get them all merged again, but please don't create or import more of these early ones. I think once they are merged it will become more clear they really almost all are present.
Of course if you have questions please just ask always happy to help :)

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! This certification requires participation in a project related to the profiles you wish to edit. It looks like you have joined the New Netherlands Project, so you're all set!
Let me know if I can help you find anything else you might need. Welcome aboard!

Thank you for joining WikiTree and good luck with your research.

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.
Have fun and ask for help in G2G if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. Its a fun place too. Take a look at what I mean here, G2Gs Question of the Week: How do you document, preserve, and share your photos? How do you store your originals?
If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

Welcome to WikiTree! Were really glad youre here.
The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as one collaborative team.
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way.
Welcome to the family!
Carole
P.S. I'm always happy to answer questions.
