Abraham was born about 1783. He was baptised on 7th September 1783 at Creeting St Mary with Creeting All Saints and St Olave, Suffolk, England as the son of Abraham Burman and Elizabeth Hager.[1]
In 1807 he married Deborah Keeble. The record also states that he was in the 7th Light Dragoons[2][3]
On his son's baptism record it records that he was a private in the 7th Light Dragoons.[4] This regiment became known as the 7th Queen's Own Light Dragoons (Hussars).[5]
He died of his wounds in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.[6]
Abraham's regiment were known as the 7th Light Dragoons between 1783 and 1803, this title changed to 7th Queen's Own Light Dragoons (Hussars) from 1807.[5]
