Married: 2nd Martha Jane Holder, abt 1864 Hopkins County, Texas.
Marriage record apparently missing at the courthouse. Family tradition is that he remarried when he returned from the War (and their 1st child was born Dec 1865).

Died: 2 Dec 1913 Hopkins County, Texas.[1]

Buried: 3 Dec 1913 Connor Cemetery, Dike, Hopkins County, Texas.[1]

Military: 17 Aug 1861 Sulphur Bluff, Hopkins County, Texas.[3][4]
Enlisted as a private, Bruce's Co., 9th Texas Cavalry Rgt.
Re-enlisted, 6 Oct 1862, as a private, Co. F, 23rd (Gould's) Texas Cavalary Regt., Tarrant Co. Texas. Promoted to corporal, 1 Feb 1864.

Applied for a Civil War pension. Approved, 6 Jul 1903.
