John Burgoon is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford, Illinois.

John was born in Dubuque County Iowa in 1860. He was the son of Francis Burgoon and Flavia Burnett. ^[1]

In 1870 his family was living in Blackhawk County, near Waterloo, Iowa. ^[2]

He moved to Rockford Illinois in 1886.

He married Ellen Glenny in 1889. ^[3]

They lived in Rockford, Illinois, where he was a policeman.

They had one son:

John Stanton Burgoon 1902-1968

John died in 1931.^[4]
