Arnold was born on the 25th of April 1882, in Midway, Wasatch, Utah, USA. Son of Andreas "Andrew" Burgener and Magdalena Meyer. [1][2][3][4][5][6]

Arnold was a noted organiser and Instructor of children's bands in Utah and Calfornia. At 14 years old Arnold organised and directed the Independant band of Midway, Utah and embarked on his musical career. He recieved a teaching certificate in musical education at Brigham Young University and attended North Western University in Illinois. Arnold was a music instructor at Wastach High School, Heber in 1920, conducted a band at Carbon County High School. The band later was Utah Schools' representative to the Chicago World's fair. Arnold was rumoured the organiser of the first scout band in the United States, having trained a group of scouts from Yale second ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Arnold had been the employee of the C G Conn Co. and had owned the first Idaho movie theatres. He had also operated a music buisness in Price and Bountiful.
In 1930, with the aid of The Salt Lake Tribune and The LDS Church, Arnold organised a band composed of 1'000 young Utah people. He then moved to California where he owned and operated several apartment houses and organised bands for the LDS Church and Young Mens Christian Assn.
He was the founder of the Glendale. Calliff. Police Boys Band which appeared in the Tournament of Roses Parade.
Arnold returned to Utah in 1951 and retired, but soon organised a youth band sponsered by The Sugar House Chamber Of Commerce. The Band eventually grew to 220 members, appearing in Days of '47 Parades and Salt Lake Parks Department Concerts.
Arnold was High Priest in the Richards Second LDS Ward. [7]
Arnold lost his wife Cora on the 23rd of August 1930. Cora was just 42 years old and left behind her four children who were 20, 15, 5 and 2 years old at the time. [22][23][24]
Arnold passed away on the 4th of June 1967 aged 85 years old. He is buried at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. [5][6][25]
