His birth (same date and parents) was recorded in Malden, Medford and, according to the plaque at his gravesite, Lancaster, MA. He was the 3rd child and his sibling before and after him were born in Malden where his birth is also recorded.

He served as Pvt. in the Revolutionary War for MA and there is a plaque erected to him at the Meeting House Cemetery

He is buried at Meeting House Cemetery, Pittsford, Rutland, VT
