Hi Craig,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them, so don't hesitate to let me know.

Thanks for adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need. Let me know if you have questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, or interpret the Suggestions report.

I'm here to help! You can reply to this comment or send me a private message.

So far so good, the only thing I have had a problem with is when trying to reply with a photo on activity feed, the picture is always only half shown.

I haven't ever tried to do that, so don not have an answer off the top of my head. If you would be willing to walk me through your steps, I may be able to spot what is causing it and be able to share how to get it to show what you expected.

The view is actually different going through email vs phone browser.

I think I found the image which didn't display as you expected in this comment.

You can control how much of an image can be seen in G2G posts using the image properties information. Edit the comment and right click on the image itself. Select Image Properties from the menu that appears. In the left column, adjust the width to 500; the height will adjust automatically. Click the OK button to see the results. If you like it, click Save Changes on the comment. If not, repeat the process until you can see what you expect to.

If the image is too small to be read when it all fits, you can include a note in the comment to click the image for a full size view.

I hope this helps,

Debi

Hi Graig

Thanks  for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz. As Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within a project is essential

Please ensure a location is entered on all profiles and data matches dates of profile. Avoid abbreviations as these can mean different things or location around the world, add sources with citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources

The United States Project and its sub projects for each state, would be of interest. Adding the tag UNITED_STATES will connect you  Follow this link for your Tags:   your tags

Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one that fits your research focus.

Hi Craig

May i suggest amending your tags so you have one tag for each name (and alternative spellings of the names you are researching and the location,

If you create separate tags for your surnames, the tags become clickable links to pages of others who want to collaborate about that surname. With the surnames combined in a tag, that isn't possible. This link may help you Tags

Your Wiki Genealogy Feed will show the activity connected to the surnames and places relating to your tags.
