Albert Edward Bungate was born on 3rd November 1906 in Woollahra, New South Wales, Australia. He was the son of Albert Bungate and May Smith. [1]
Albert married Mary McGuckin in 1926 in Paddington, New South Wales. [2]
On 10th February 1942, he enlisted in the Second Australian Imperial Force for service overseas during the Second World War. He was, however, discharged just three months later on 12th May 1942. He had been posted to the 3rd Pioneer Company, Australian Engineers. [3] [4]
Aged 53 years, he passed away in 1960 in Sydney, New South Wales. [5]
