Biography

Marie Cesarie Sara Bulteau was born on 21 Nov 1849 and was baptized on 23 Nov in Sainte-Martine parish in Châteauguay, Bas-Canada. She was the daughter of Pierre Bulteau, farmer, and his wife Euphémie Toupin. Godparents at Césarie's baptism were François Noël Toupin and Clothilde Desneau. At age 19 Césarie married Israel Foubert on 23 Nov 1868 in Saint-Urbain-le-Premiere, Chateauguay, Québec, Canada. There were 13 known children born into this marriage. Sara died at age 77 on 24 Jul 1927 in Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota; she was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks..
