Matching DNA tests can only be used to confirm BACK TO the Most Recent Common Ancestors (MRCAs) of the two matching test takers, but NOT to parents/other more distant ancestors of the MRCAs. The first DNA confirmation statement shows that Anna is one of the MRCAs for the match. The other statement refers to the relationship between her granddaughter and her great granddaughter. Neither supports her relationship to her own mother.

Please change the ‘confirmed with DNA’ entries on this profile to ‘confident’.. Please let me know if you don’t understand or if you have any questions. Thanks!
