Charles Budd was born on July 16, 1815, in Mamakating, New York. He was the son of John Budd and Christina Shafer. He was a blacksmith and postmaster.[1]
He was married three times: to Catherine Teeter on January 12, 1842, Lucy in about 1856, and Deborah Ann Earl in about 1867. He died on July 19, 1896, in Enfield Falls, New York, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried in Trumansburg, New York.
