John Theodore Buckbee was a U.S. Representative from Illinois from 1927-1936.

John Buckbee was born in 1871. He was the son of Theodore Buckbee Catherine Elizabeth Allington. [1][2]

He married Florence Day in Landing Michigan in 1897. [3]

They lived in Rockford where he worked for his brother Hiram’s seed manufacturing plant. [4][5][6][7]

In 1927 he was elected as a Republican to the Seventieth Congress and to the next four succeeding Congresses, serving until his death.[8]

John died in 1936. [9]
