Biography

Roland H Buck was born on 13 June 1918 in Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, United States, son of Hoyt Heath Buck (1891–1949) and Caroline Eliza Louise Green (1886–1948).[1] He lived with his parents and siblings in Hartford, Snohomish County, Washington, United States.[2][3]

He graduated from Northwest College in Seattle, Washington, and entered the ministry in 1939. On 1 April 1940 he was in Granger, Yakima, Washington.[4]

He married Charmian Joyce Millicent Jacobson (1917-2018) on 10 June 1942 in King County, Washington.[5][6] They had five children together. By 1950 the family was in Gooding, Idaho where both he and his wife served as Assembly of God ministers.[7]

He pastored churches in Granger and Yakima Washington, and Gooding Idaho, before coming to Central Assembly of God church in Boise in 1950. Roland Buck was the pastor of Central Assembly of God Christian Life Center, Boise, Idaho (1950 – 1979), being ordained through the Assemblies of God. He gained some notoriety though two books that were written about his reported visitations with by angels in the late 1970's, immediately prior to his death.[8][9]

He passed away in 1979 at the age of 61 in November 1979.[10][11] He was buried in Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise, Ada County, Idaho (PLOT: Woodlawn Plot 140 Quad 2A).[12]
