In the 1970s, (50-years ago!), my grandmother, Marjorie Hardman, without email or web created a 40+ pg. book she titled, "Six Trees." It is amazing to see how much information she was able to bring together on her family lines. It discusses George Ballard, her Dad, Ida Jorgenson, her mum, and Francis Savage, her step-dad and their lines.
Approximately at the same time or maybe in the 1980s, Lena Buchholz and Arlene Hopkins also did some lengthy family tree research and recorded Fred Buchholz's history from Germany through 5 generations.
Alec North our son has recently gotten interested in genealogy causing me to become quite interested in the task of preserving and passing it on.
So now I am feeling quite pleased to have scanned and uploaded both documents as sources and created person profiles for all of the individuals listed on Wikitree. There is still work to be done in continuing to bring it forward it. My cousins could help by each editing and updating their own profile and by adding their kids and grandkids so that they will have this information to carry on and to connected to in the future.
