Biography

Pleasant Bryant, the son of William Bryant and Margaret, was born about 1763 in North Carolina, he died in May of 1850 in Madison, Georgia. His name was spelled Pleasant, but occasionally as Keasant, his surname was also spelled Briant.

Pleasant's wife's name wasn't mentioned in any of the records.

In 1796 Jackson, George: To John tindall, for $50.00, 300 acres on Uchee Creek, granted to William Bryant.[1]

1820 Census, Salem, Clarke, Georgia: Had 4 sons, 4 daughters[2]

Pleasant Bryant, 1 male under 10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 16-18, 1 male 18-25, 1 male 45+
2 females under 10, 2 females 10-15, 1 female 26-44

In 1830, Clarke, Georgia, Pleasant appears to be a widow, or he had a young wife & young son. There was one male under 5, one male 50-6, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 15-20, 1 female 20-30[3]

Georgia Death Record has two entries for him, one with his name spelled Pleasant Bryant, the other as Keasant Bryant. He was born abut 1763, died at the age of 87, in the month of May, census year 1850. He died of Dropsy.[4]
