Abigail Brunson, daughter of Isaac Brunson and Abigail his wife, was born in Bolton, Connecticut, on 25 August 1739. [1] The family name is also spelled Brownson or Bronson.[2]
She married Samuel Blackmer in Vernon, Connecticut, on 23 April 1763. Their older children were born in Connecticut. The family later removed to Vermont. In 1774, Samuel Blackmer bought "one whole right" in Bennington, Vermont, from a man named Wentworth. [2]
She died on September 5, 1834, in Rupert, Vermont, at age 95, and was buried there. [2] .
