Charles Brown is a part of US Black heritage.

Charles Brown was born in June 1860 in the state of Mississippi. The 1870 census places him in Township 9, Jefferson County, Mississippi, in close proximity to the Fayette post office. By 1880, Charles was residing in Beat 5 of Jefferson County, where he was employed as a field hand.

On December 18, 1884, Charles married Jane Humes in Jefferson County, Mississippi. Throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Charles remained in the farming profession to support his family. The 1900, 1910, and 1920 censuses all indicate that he lived in Beat 3, first in Jefferson County and later in Bolivar County, Mississippi, where he continued to farm.

Charles Brown's life story reflects the agricultural heritage of Mississippi during this period, highlighting the hard work and dedication required to make a living from the land. His consistent presence in the farming communities of Jefferson and Bolivar counties over several decades underscores his commitment to his profession and family.
