Lewis Stanley Brown was born on 1 January 1894 in Menifee County, Kentucky, United States, son of Hiram Young Brown and Clarinda Helton.

In the 1900 census Lewis (age 6) was the son of Hiram Brown in Magisterial District 5, Menifee, Kentucky.[1]

Stanley married Lydia Lovely about 1918. They were parents of six known children.

In the 1920 census Stanley (age 26) was the married head of household in Menifee County, Kentucky.[2]

In the 1930 census Stanley (age 38) was the married head of household in Morgan County, Kentucky, United States.[3]

In the 1940 census Stanley (age 46) was the married head of household in Magisterial District 1, Menifee, Kentucky.[4]

Stanley registered for the World War II military draft on 27 April 1942 in Frenchburg, Menifee, Kentucky.[5]

In the 1950 census Stanley (age 56), Lumber Cutter, was the married head of household in Menifee County, Kentucky.[6]

Stanley died (age 64) on 19 May 1958 in Mount Sterling, Montgomery, Kentucky[7][8] and was buried in Bashford Cemetery, Menifee County, Kentucky.[9]
